Front and Home Front

Ninth day of fighting and the end just doesn't seem any closer. Soldiers and civilians are dying on both sides of a war that nobody wants. But everybody needs. Or at least, that's what we should think… I think…
Today in Ma'ariv (Israeli newspaper) IDF official was quoted about the "End of crisis". There are 5 sections that must be fulfilled before this "ending" –

1. Total distinction between the crisis in Lebanon and the kidnapped soldiers – Total distinction between the situation with Hamas and the kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit.
2. Southern sector – The return of the kidnapped soldier, general ceasefire, international conference.
3. Northern sector – Information(!) about the kidnapped soldiers, general ceasefire, Hizbollah transfers the soldiers to Lebanon government which immediately enters a negotiations state with Israel.
4. Lebanon army takes control of its southern border with Israel and takes full responsibility of the southern area of Lebanon.
5. Hizbollah disarms, leaves southern Lebanon and focuses its activity in political arena.

What do we learn from this table?

From Israeli side – The fact that that IDF is willing to settle with only information about the kidnapped soldiers show that IDF officials understands that they won't have enough time to find and retrieve to soldiers – lack of quality intelligence information – a problem which in this state, might cause heavy losses on our side as soon as infantry troops will enter Lebanon (already entered?).

From Hizbollah side – No chance to any of that as long as Nasrallah lives - Which is now number one priority for IDF.
IAF bombed Hizbollah bunker tonight. 23 tons of explosives. As it seems now – he wasn't even near the site. "Lack of quality intelligence" anyone? – The fight continues as it seems. Unfortunately to us all.

And what about the home front? As it seems Israelis and Lebanese found ways to deal (in a way) with the crisis.
